Harry F. Purinton Race - June 18, 2016

The Harry F. Purinton race, traditionally held in early summer, kicks off SBYC's racing season.  The race starts off of Potawatamie State Park and ends at the Menomonee, Michigan break wall.  The race features a staggered start to enable participants to enjoy a social gathering at the M&M yacht club after the race.  The course is approximately 21.5 miles long.

The race starts off at Pot Park buoys 31-32 and ends at the Menomonee marina break wall. The race begins with a staggered start; the first boat crosses the line at 10:00. Registration takes place at the SBYC on Friday, June 17th from 6:00 – 8:00pm. The bar and dining room are open to all participants starting at 5:30. This is a fun race for every level of sailor.
